Personality and competencies

Barfield turns the traditional search process on its head. Instead of searching on the basis of knowledge and experience, we identify candidates by searching by personality and competencies. This allows us to look at what someone is capable of rather than what they have done up until this point.

Looking outwards

We put a system in place whereby we identify candidates based on who they are, not what they do. And not necessarily from the same industry field. Searching on the basis of competencies naturally frees you from a confined or stale mindset. You develop a wide perspective and achieve innovative new results. This ultimately delivers surprising insights into new talents who are crucial to an organization’s development towards where they want to be in the future.

Model personality

This model illustrates the importance of competencies and personality. We make use of our databases to search for expertise and experience up until this point.  The multitude of profiles and CVs are crucial in order to find the candidate with the right personality, motivation and cognitive abilities.
